Your music program has many complex moving parts, all vital for keeping your program on track – Volunteer Opportunities, News Updates, Required Forms, and Financial Obligations. On top of an already packed schedule, who’s got time to send yet another email to all the parents? Cut Time is committed to helping music directors like you effectively communicate all those complexities.
With the introduction of the Parent portal, communicating with parents can happen within a new interactive dashboard. Parents will now be able to quickly access their child’s information along with all the other important details your music program parents need to know.
Keep everyone up to date with a quick news bulletin or announcement. In this section, program administrators can add photos from an event they want to share.
From their dashboard, parents can manage and update their children’s profile information. Parents can add a new student directly from their profile by clicking Add a student/member.
The request will remain pending until a student/parent relationship is approved by the student or a program administrator. (Read more about creating relationships)
Your program might require you to collect a payment for an orchestra trip or a repair fee for a damaged instrument. In this section the parent can see a snapshot of all the financial obligations applied to their personal or child’s account. They can also keep track of amounts due and see records of balances paid for each financial obligation.
To make a credit card payment or review a full statement for each financial obligation, click View full details.
Where would your music program be without amazing volunteers? Make sure everyone knows when opportunities are available to them with all the details of each event. Any event marked as requiring volunteers is displayed in this section.
All responses for volunteer opportunities must be approved by a program administrator. The status of all opportunities is displayed in this section of the Parent portal.
RSVP for events
Avoid an RSVP nightmare and know just how many attendees to expect for your next event. Parents can submit a response for their child from the dashboard. This is perfect for knowing how many hungry mouths will be requiring pizza.
Event details and calendar information can be accessed by clicking the event name. Events can be added to a personal Google calendar through a one-way sync by clicking Add this event to my personal calendar.
Quickly request all of the permission slips, release forms, and special documentation your music program needs to keep on file. Parents can upload documents in this section and view a history of each document.
